An iPhone can send photos to Android devices, Through the message app. Though sometimes issues may arise due to disabled settings.
1. Confirm the Number You’re Texting:
To ensure a successful message sent from an iPhone to an Android user, it’s crucial to confirm the recipient’s phone number. \
Mistyping a few digits of a phone number can cause the message to not be delivered. If the correct contact details are provided, then the issue may be that the recipient have blocked your phone number.
2. Check Your Network Connection:
To send an MMS message, ensure your internet connection is active by running a speed test on a web browser.
Also enable Wi-Fi and cellular data from the Control Center, by swiping down from the top-right corner of the screen on iPhones with Face ID or swiping up from the bottom on iPhones with a Home button.
3. Reopen the App:
To force quit and restart the Messages app if it has been running in the background, follow these steps:
- Swipe up then hold to reveal the background app on Home Screen.
- Locate the Messages app then swipe up to force close the app.
This will refresh the app and relaunch it.
4. Carrier Settings:
iPhone users may face issues with receiving texts from Android users due to not updating to the latest carrier settings.
However to fix this, launch the Settings app on your iPhone, go to General, tap About, wait for a few seconds, and tap the Update button. If an update pop-up appears, tap the Update button. If the message is not sent, you’re using the latest carrier settings.
5. Update Your device:

6. Authorize Send as SMS:
The iPhone allows users to send photos via iMessage, but to send to an Android user, enable the Send as SMS option by launching Settings on your iPhone, selecting Messages, and scrolling down to find the Send as SMS option and toggle it.
